As a Biomedical Engineering student, Arshiya became interested in the intersection of healthcare, technology, and access. Her involvement with UCI's Free Clinic Project exposed her to community health initiatives and the real-world challenges patients face when trying to receive care.
Kabir
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Biochemistry · Certified EMT-B
Kabir's studies in biochemistry and work as a certified EMT-B provided another view of the healthcare system. Through direct patient interactions and volunteer service, Kabir saw the importance of clear communication, trusted expertise, and collaboration between patients, clinicians, and healthcare organizations.
Together, Arshiya and Kabir recognized that the same principles apply to healthcare innovation. Developing a promising product is only part of the journey. Organizations must also identify the right clinical experts, build meaningful relationships, coordinate engagement activities, and maintain responsible, transparent processes.
